Tiger

The tiger (Panthera tigris) is a big cat spread in Asia. It is unmistakable due to its size and the characteristic dark stripe pattern on a golden yellow to red-brown ground. There are eight to nine subspecies, which are distinguished as mainland subspecies and island subspecies. The biggest differences are between the small, contrasting Sumatran Tigers and the large, rather pale colored Siberian Tigers, also known as Amur Tigers
