Pyramids

The pyramids of Giza in Egypt are among the most famous and oldest preserved buildings of mankind. They stand on the western edge of the Nile valley, about eight kilometers southwest of the city of Gizah (Gîza). They are about 15 km from the centre of Cairo and are the only remaining of the seven wonders of the ancient world. They have been a World Heritage Site since 1979.
